Welding flames require neutral flames or slightly carbonizing flames. To prevent the oxidation of aluminum, the use of oxidizing flames is strictly prohibited. The size of the welding nozzle should be determined according to the thickness of the sheet. Aluminum plates burn through easily. You can choose a welding tip that is one size smaller than that of low-carbon steel, and thicker welding parts dissipate more heat, so you can select a larger welding tip.
(2) Tack welding
It is to fix the relative position of the weldment and prevent deformation. It is necessary to tack weld the weldment. The positioning spacing of the plate thickness less than 1.55mm is 10~20mm; the positioning spacing of a plate thickness of less than 5mm is 30~50mm.
(3) Preheating before welding
For thin and small aluminum parts, preheating before welding is not required with minor stiffness. For weldments with a thickness greater than SMM, it is necessary to preheat the weldments to 200-300 °C to reduce welding deformation and welding cracks.

(4) Welding operation requirements
① During the welding and heating process, continuously dip the tip of the wire with solder powder to temporarily move the surface of the heated area. If it feels sticky and the molten wire can fuse with the weld metal, the temperature at which the weld pool will form has been reached and welding can proceed;
② The left welding method can be used to weld thin and small weldments to prevent overheating and burning through;
③ The movement of the flame is to move up and down, the welding wire is always in the front of the molten pool, and there is a slight up and down jump, which is opposite to the effect of the flame. Do one weld at a time. When interrupted, the joints should overlap by 20~30mm;
④ Try to avoid multi-layer welding of aluminum alloys, otherwise, the joints have large grains, pores or cracks that are prone to occur, and the welding seam is poorly formed.
