What is 1100 series aluminum?

1100 aluminum sheet for industrial pure aluminum, aluminum content (mass fraction) of 99%, non heat treatment. It has high corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, low density, good plasticity, and can be used to produce all kinds of aluminum, but the strength is low. Other processes are basically the same as 1050A. 1100 aluminum sheet commonly used to have good machining performance, high corrosion resistance, high strength does not need not see, such as video and chemical handling and storage equipment, sheet metal products, hardware, hollow spinning drawing goods welding key combination, reflector, nameplate

Due to its physical properties aluminum sheet & plate is valued and sought after choice metal for many different industrial applications, some of which include: Roofing Gutters Wall panels Aerospace Transportation Construction

5083 aluminum sheet is a high strength material, exhibiting higher strength than 5052 sheet.5083 H116 is an alloy used for high strength welded applications, with excellent marine environment corrosion resistance. It has a superior “skin finish” developed to prevent skin lamination, thus providing even better resistance to inter-granular corrosion than alloy 5083 H321. It has higher Tensile and Yield strengths than Alloy 5086 but less than 5456. Aluminium 5083 is a strong magnesium-manganese-chromium-aluminium alloy. It can be hardened by cold work, but is not heat treatable to higher strength. It has good ductility for the strength level, better than most other 5000 series alloys. Aluminium alloy 5083 contains 5.2% magnesium, 0.1% manganese and 0.1% chromium. In the tempered condition, it is strong, and retains good formability due to excellent ductility. It has the low density and excellent thermal conductivity common to all aluminium alloys. Alloy 5083 is best known as a plate for ship building. The alloy is also produced as extruded seamless tube and other extrusions and as forgings.
