Do you know 7005 aluminum heat treatment?

7005 aluminium sheet can be stressed further before being permanently deformed. The post weld heat treating process known as “aging” is 600 degrees Fahrenheit as opposed to 6061 at over 900 degrees Fahrenheit, making it a simpler and quicker process. Most of the commercially available butted tubes are 7005. We offer material from a variety of producers including Dedacciai, Nova and custom pipes from TubePro. We also have a nice selection of straight gauge and heirloom tubes collected over the years. Production, semi-custom and full custom frame components are available.

Aluminum alloys are highly resistant to corrosion. They are sensitive to high temperatures ranging between 200 and 250°C (392 and 482°F), and tend to lose some of their strength. However, the strength of Aluminium / Aluminum alloys can be enhanced at subzero temperatures, thus making them good low-temperature alloys. Aluminium / Aluminum 7005 alloy is a wrought alloy type. The following datasheet will provide more details about Aluminium / Aluminum 7005 alloy.

7005 aluminum sheet (Al-Zn-Mg-Cu) belongs to super-hard aluminum with great welding performance. 7005 aluminum alloy is a typical kind of light-weight aluminum, it can be heat strengthened, but is not stronger than 6061 aluminum sheet
