Aluminum 1100 sheet is a commercially pure aluminum. 1100 has excellent welding characteristics; it is also soft and ductile so is ideal for applications that require intricate forming as it work hardens slower than other alloys. 1100 is however non-heat treatable. As 1100 has excellent resistance to corrosion it is widely used in the chemical and food processing industries also for giftware and applications where eye appeal is important.
"Let’s know about on the common uses of marine aluminium alloy sheet plate in the manufacturing and production of various appliances. aluminium alloy sheet plate for pots, pans, and cans. As aluminum plain sheet is a valuable metal that can be recycled and has taste-preserving quality, it is used in soda cans. Kitchen utensils are also made with aluminum due to its thermal conducting property and nontoxic properties."
"What’s the difference between Aluminum Alloys 3003 and Aluminum 5052? If that also sounds like aluminum 5052 that is because both alloys obtain similar characteristics. However, the 5052 alloy has a higher strength and greater corrosion resistance (including to salt water). Its major alloying element is magnesium. Magnesium overcomes the corrosive effects of the iron present in the alloy. It also has better finishing characteristics than the 3003 alloy. These attributes make aluminum 5052 a great fit for food processing equipment and truck trailers as well as marine and aquatic features."
